The show provides a much needed platform for underrepresented comedy, creativity and opinion from a Black British cultural perspective and also succeeds in appealing to a broad audience who may have little understanding of issues around black culture. It's here that the show can have a positive impact on the understanding of its audience around some of the challenges faced by Britain's black community.

- Short Synopsis: Grandes Mujeres Latinoamericanas (Great Latin American Women) is an animated series of 21 short films which recognize the lives and legacies of daring, pioneering and influential women from across the region. No two women are alike. They come from different time periods and walks of life, and their contributions are as diverse as their experiences. From Policarpa Salavarrieta, spy and Independence heroine of present-day Colombia, to Carolina Contreras, a Dominican activist fighting discrimination around Afro-textured and curly hair, these women's stories challenge stereotypes and celebrate diversity. The animations do not take a documentary approach by relaying facts about the women's lives. Instead, they focus on a different idea, or moment of inspiration, which strives to encapsulate the essence of each woman's life in an engaging way. We were very fortunate to work with many of the contemporary women, with some of them even narrating their own films. Accompanied by different music and animation styles, each film is as unique as the women themselves.
